- Our beautiful mountains...
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park,
The Blue Ridge Parkway,
and the Nantahala National Forest
draw visitors from far and wide.
- Dillsboro is a unique
village of over
40 shops featuring all types of Appalachian arts and crafts as well as
fine gifts and antiques. Dine at fine area
restaurants including the nationally famous
Jarrett House. "Take a ride on the scenic line" of the
Great Smoky Mountains Railway, with several departures daily during
summer and leaf seasons.
- The Cherokee Indian Reservation is
located 18 miles away. Be sure to see the Cherokee
Indian Museum and Unto These Hills, an outdoor drama about "The
Trail of Tears". Cherokee is also home to
Harrah's Cherokee Casino, an 84-million-dollar complex which features video gambling,
several restaurants and top-name entertainment.
- Within 30 minutes drive one can find tennis, golf, trout fishing, boating, whitewater
rafting, tubing, hiking, horseback riding, ruby mining, and other outdoor activities.

- Within an hour's drive are Fontana Lake and Dam,
the Biltmore Estate and
Asheville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Cataloochee Ski Area
and Maggie Valley, Waynesville, High Hampton Inn and Cashiers, Sapphire, and Highlands.
- Also be sure to visit the huge trees of the Joyce Kilmer
Memorial Forest outside Robbinsville.
